PQShield is a cybersecurity company that builds quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions for hardware, software, and cloud environments. Based in London, the firm helps secure critical supply chains against future threats.

Oxford-based cryptography firm PQShield has secured £5.5m in seed funding to bring its quantum-secure encryption technology to market. The round was led by Kindred Capital, with participation from Crane Venture Partners, Oxford Sciences Innovation, and angel investor Andre Crawford-Brunt.

The capital will support the company as it moves its cryptographic solutions out of the research laboratory and into commercial environments. PQShield aims to help organisations safeguard sensitive data against the eventual arrival of powerful quantum computers capable of breaking traditional public-key encryption.
