The investment round was led by Midven through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund to scale virtual ward services for the NHS.
"The investment by Midven and QVentures is critical to enabling our pioneering model of virtual hospital care, which will create urgently needed capacity for the UK health system."
The seed round was backed by high-profile investors including Matthew Freud, Jonnie Goodwin and Rhys Oldfield.
"I knew immediately I would invest. Tendering made a huge difference to Be At One. EzTenda gives every operator access to the marketing budgets available from every brand, big and small. Whether it be house pour or back-bar, it’s a no-brainer."
The Exeter-based HR technology firm secured backing from Mercia alongside existing investor Qantx to drive platform development and international expansion.
"We are delighted to be backing another South West company, and one that promotes diversity and inclusion. RoleMapper offers a unique range of services, some of which would previously have been carried out by large consulting firms at substantial cost. It has rapidly gained traction and attracted an impressive blue-chip client list. The investment will help it to establish itself as a ‘must have’ tool to help organisations navigate the future of work."
The seed round was led by Speedinvest with participation from Fly Ventures and Seedcamp.
"I’ve seen first-hand the demoralising effect that the existing set of workforce management platforms, including spreadsheets, has on support teams at a human level. For support teams to thrive, individual team members should be empowered to work collaboratively alongside management and their teammates. That’s our vision for Surfboard."
