Marathon Venture Capital has backed the platform as it surpasses 120k members and scales its product roadmap.
The funding will support a consortium project developing open source software for the UK healthcare sector.
"We’re thrilled to have been given the opportunity by Innovate UK to prove that professional open source is the only viable solution to the NHS’s complex software needs. Innovate UK understood that we have ambitious aims to transform the NHS’s approach to digital technology, helping to create software that is the perfect clinical fit for today and adaptable for tomorrow saving lives and money simultaneously."
Intel Capital led the Series A round with backing from Lauder Partners and Wargaming Group to support recruitment and product development.
"Audiences around the world are increasingly hungry for the richest and most graphically complex content to be streamed instantly. The current approach of deploying GPUs in the cloud to deliver compressed video, whether for playing games or any other high-fidelity application, is eye-wateringly expensive and just does not scale. It’s why cloud gaming remains the hardest of streaming problems to solve; anyone can stream games, but the business of streaming is broken."
The company has obtained capital from the NHS England funded initiative to support pre-clinical development.
"After several years of research in collaboration with Mogrify, it is great to see our transdifferentiated cartilage cells gain commercial traction from grants such as the SBRI Healthcare and (pre-)clinical partners."
The funding round was led by o2h Ventures Therapeutics Fund and supported by existing backers.
"We are pleased to welcome both o2h Ventures Therapeutics Fund as a new shareholder and Sunil Shah, Managing Partner of o2h Ventures Ltd as an observer on the Metrion board."
