Electric Gamebox raises £7.8m in Series A2 funding to accelerate international expansion.
The funding round was backed by Brookfield Asset Management, Index Ventures, JamJar, and Project A to support expansion across the UK and US.
Electric Gamebox develops immersive group gaming rooms that combine projection mapping, touch screens, motion tracking, and surround sound. The platform offers social, collaborative games without requiring headsets.
Electric Gamebox has raised £7.8m in a Series A2 funding round backed by Brookfield Asset Management, Index Ventures, JamJar, Project A, Sweet Capital, and Imbiba. The capital will support the company in expanding its physical footprint across the UK and the US, targeting one hundred new sites within two years and over one thousand within five years. The latest investment follows a £8.5m Series A round in December 2019, bringing total funds raised to over £18m. The business operates interactive digital gaming rooms designed for groups, utilising projection mapping and motion tracking technologies.
The partnership with Brookfield Asset Management will leverage real estate portfolios to secure retail locations for new venues. Electric Gamebox currently operates sites in London, Manchester, Essex, and Dallas, with further expansion planned through new concessions and rollouts.
