The funding round was led by the Development Bank of Wales to support the development of data science and AI solutions in agri-tech.
Agxio builds artificial intelligence and machine learning applications tailored for the agricultural, life sciences and biotech sectors. Its platform helps farmers and researchers utilise data for precision agriculture and disease monitoring.
Agxio has secured £750k in a seed investment round led by the Development Bank of Wales, alongside contributions from existing and new professional backers. The capital will support the company as it develops data science solutions for agriculture and expands its technical team in Wales.
Founded in 2018, the firm applies automated machine learning to areas such as crop selection, livestock health, and yield optimisation. The latest injection of funds follows recent industry recognition for the business and its leadership.
