The funding round was led by HV Capital and Lakestar to support the development of next generation payment systems.
"We believe payments is entering a new paradigm where traditional finance is meeting the Web3 future of finance, and that these will coexist for years to come. The challenge and the opportunity right now is to bridge these very different worlds, and build the interoperability to enable choice across the three generational payments use cases, from cards to open banking to crypto and everything in between."
The funding follows a $2.1m seed round and supports the upcoming launch of the NAYM token.
"We were lucky enough to have such an oversubscribed round, allowing us to be highly selective with whom we brought into the project. The additional expertise across capital markets, legal and compliance, token economics and community building will continue to help us support the growing insurance movement within the digital asset space."
The seed round was led by a diverse group including G1, Gumi Cryptos, Maven 11, Spartan Group, 1kx, and Kenetic.
