Rvvup is a fintech company building next generation payments infrastructure to bridge centralised and decentralised finance. The business was formed by alumni from leading technology and financial firms.

London based fintech Rvvup has secured £5.6m in seed funding to build global payments infrastructure. The investment round was co-led by HV Capital and Lakestar, with participation from several prominent fintech and crypto figures.

The company was established in the summer of 2021 by former Braintree and PayPal executive David Nunn alongside industry alumni. The newly raised capital will support the ongoing expansion of the team and the development of its platform, which connects traditional and Web3 financial systems.

From the founder

"We believe payments is entering a new paradigm where traditional finance is meeting the Web3 future of finance, and that these will coexist for years to come. The challenge and the opportunity right now is to bridge these very different worlds, and build the interoperability to enable choice across the three generational payments use cases, from cards to open banking to crypto and everything in between."
