Nayms secures £4.3m in seed follow on funding led by Spartan Ventures and other investors
The funding follows a $2.1m seed round and supports the upcoming launch of the NAYM token.
Nayms operates an insurance marketplace for digital assets built on blockchain infrastructure. The company aligns capital providers, underwriters, brokers and insureds through its protocol.
Nayms has secured £4.3m in a seed follow on investment round from a cohort of more than 20 funds and angel investors. The latest financing follows a $2.1m seed round raised earlier in the year and supports the future listing of the project native NAYM token.
The new funding comes from participants including Spartan Ventures, DFG, LD Capital, Cadenza, Woodstock, Flow VC, and Kin Insurance CEO Sean Harper. Existing backers XBTO, Maven11, and Coinbase Ventures also participated in the round.
The capital is supporting team expansion as Nayms prepares for the launch of the NAYM token, which is designed to capture fees from contract placements and trading activity. Recent hires include Chief Commercial Officer David Verbeeten and Head of Finance Tyler Skelton.
From the founder
"We were lucky enough to have such an oversubscribed round, allowing us to be highly selective with whom we brought into the project. The additional expertise across capital markets, legal and compliance, token economics and community building will continue to help us support the growing insurance movement within the digital asset space."

Dan Roberts
CEO at Nayms
Investor perspective
"We are very pleased to back Nayms together with some highly regarded investors. Insurance is a severely underrepresented vertical within the crypto industry and, as one of the biggest markets, will be fundamental to the future of decentralized finance. Nayms has a top-notch team with a design approach that we deem exceptionally well suited to succeed in this domain."
