The Belfast biotechnology company raised the capital from investors including Co-fund NI, QUBIS, and the Halo Business Angel Network.
"It is exciting to be able to advance the commercial development of AMPLY Discovery thanks to the tremendous support of our investors and Queen’s University Belfast. The development of initial research in this domain started out almost a decade ago when I considered adopting AI and machine learning techniques I had worked with in financial markets for the computational biology domain."
The pre-seed round was led by QUBIS Innovation Fund and will support clinical trial preparations and engineering hires.
"We are delighted to have led this investment round into Transdermal Diagnostics. The transdermal approach for glucose monitoring that Transdermal Diagnostics is developing will have a disruptive impact on the diabetes market, we are additionally excited by the company’ potential to expand into the wellness and sports nutrition industries. This funding round alongside the Innovate UK funding will help support them in this journey."
