Mubadala Capital is the asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, a leading global sovereign investor headquartered in Abu Dhabi, managing billions in third party capital vehicles.
Faris is the Head of Technology at Mubadala, having previously led ventures and growth as well as regional investments at the firm. He started his career as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs.
Fatou Bintou brings investment and operating experience from roles at Mubadala, Storyblok, and her own stealth venture. She has also held board positions at Juni, re:cap, and Virtuoso.
Balderton Capital led the Series B round with participation from Mubadala Capital and existing investors.

Tiger Global has led a $40m Series A funding round in Weavr to support its expansion into the United States and other international markets.

The Series B round was led by Mubadala Capital and will support the platform's continental European expansion.
"Scores of new and existing retail businesses now see their future in e-commerce, but while anyone can set up an online store-front and start selling within hours, the infrastructure powering e-commerce is alarmingly outdated, inefficient, inflexible and expensive."
The funding round was led by Mubadala Investment with participation from Channel 4 Ventures to support product development and international growth.
