The Series C round was led by Highland Europe with participation from ETFS Capital to support product development and team expansion.
"Financial advice is a heavily regulated space and it is difficult for fintech platforms to break through unless they truly understand how to manage and enable operations for their customers. For the past six years, we have been building Fundment as the all-in-one tech platform to support a financial advice firm’s every need so they can dedicate more time to delivering value to customers. We now have over 500 firms relying on Fundment, but we’re still in the early stages of our journey. I’m delighted to have the backing of Highland Europe and look forward to working with the knowledgeable team there as we scale Fundment."
ETFS Capital led the Series B financing, with participation from XTX Ventures, to support international expansion and product development.
"With the digital evolution of credit now inevitable, we are pleased to have ETFS join our team given their deep experience in capital markets innovation. Building the best-in-class dataset for one of the world's largest asset classes remains an ambitious task, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead of us."
ETFS Capital led the extension round, which will support the wealthtech provider's growth into European markets.
"We are pleased to provide further funding to WealthKernel. Having seen the business grow from strength to strength since we first invested in 2018, we look forward to supporting Karan and team as they continue this expansion into Europe. The demand for innovation in the wealth and asset management industry has never been higher, which WealthKernel is perfectly placed to deliver."
Balderton Capital led the Series B round with participation from Mubadala Capital and existing investors.
"For too long, the importance of cash has been overlooked by many operating businesses and investors alike. As rates have begun to rise across the globe and crises have once again started to permeate the banking sector, companies of all sizes have woken up to the benefits of diversification, security and attractive risk-adjusted returns. We have been growing the business rapidly for the last 5 years and are very well-placed to capitalise on current market dynamics. We’re delighted that Balderton is leading our Series B round – they understand our world deeply and have all of the experience necessary to support us on our journey to becoming a global leader in institutional cash investment."
The London-based financial technology firm has closed a Series A round co-led by Anthemis Group and MMC Ventures to support team growth and product expansion.
"Following a break-out 12 months in which we increased AUM by 10x, we wanted to bring in the best possible investment partners to support our ambitious growth plans. We have long admired both Anthemis Group and MMC, so I am delighted that they co-led the round and we are excited to work with Sean, Ollie and their respective teams, as we move into the next phase of our journey to redefine cash investment and front-office treasury."
ETFS Capital led the Series A round to accelerate product development and client expansion.
"I often describe what we do as the plumbing for wealth management companies. The current industry is built on leaky legacy pipes and that leakage directly impacts the savings and pensions of millions of people, particularly those with smaller sums of money. We started WealthKernel to make financial services better for everyday people. With ETFS Capital we are fortunate to have an investor who shares that passion and the track record to back it up."
ETFS Capital has backed the London-based index company in its latest funding round.
"The indexing industry is in urgent need of transformation since the dominant index providers currently offer investors limited choice and are inflexible. Moorgate Benchmarks is solving this problem by offering index providers and product issuers the services they need to innovate and deliver true choice to all investors. We are delighted to have secured a significant investment from ETFS Capital which will accelerate the build-out of our full-services, flexible offering."
