Midven led the investment round with backing from existing private investors to support new product development.
"We have a good business employing some very talented software developers, who really know how to produce online training tools that replicate real world business situations. We have just released an exciting new leadership skills training game which is generating some great reviews from both training providers and business users and now with this additional money we can continue with our next training modules"
Midven's Exceed Fund backs Leamington Spa-based software provider Webmoco in a multi-tranche deal.
"Though we have made substantial progress in developing the software product, we are now keen to move at a pace which suits our ambitions, and this funding is necessary to help us do that. The software platform has many benefits improving efficiency and transparency, and can be used across all devices and is intended to replace paper-based systems."
The investment was backed by Midven through its Early Advantage fund.
"In addition to the venture capital backing, Midven also brings advice and experience to help us grow the organisation to the next level. We have already undertaken a number of changes as a result of this relationship and have a clear vision of where we want to get to, how we’re going to get there and we now have the funding in place to be able to do so."
Midven backed the security and defence firm through its Exceed Fund to support expansion plans.
"Unlike many of our competitors, Amba’s product portfolio includes advanced technologies that are developed and manufactured by our team here in the UK. We are particularly proud of our Manta Under-Vehicle Inspection System, which is currently assisting the security forces around the globe to protect key facilities and resources from the on-going threat of concealed explosive devices."
Midven and angel investors back Health2Works with £251k to scale its NHS-aligned software tools.
"There is huge pressure on the NHS to save money and one of the ways it will do that is through technology innovation. After working with a number of NHS trusts, we already know of the benefits that apps and tools like Rally Round and Ollie bring in terms of empowering patients and increasing productivity. The funding we have received from Midven and our angel investors will enable us to progress to fully-commercialised, universal tools that will help NHS health care providers across the country."
