The seed investment was supplied by Mercia via the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund to support product commercialisation and job creation.

The Northampton-based conversational assistant developer raised the capital from backers including Mercia and the Midlands Engine Investment Fund.

The Hull-based healthtech start-up secured the backing from Mercia via the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
The seed round was led by Mercia with participation from angel investor Owen McFarlane.
"I have a big passion for renewable and clean energy, and having grown up experiencing regular blackouts through the collective peak time usage of energy, I wanted to do something about it. I wanted to create a cleaner way of using energy for everyone, which is also more affordable, and build a community to be able to achieve that,"
The Sheffield-based smart sensors business secured backing from NPIF to scale its operations and product development.
