The Scottish laser technology specialist has raised over £1m from existing investors and Innovate UK to fund healthcare product rollouts and emissions monitoring tools.
"Designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art ultrafast infra-red lasers brings huge value and efficiencies to the global healthcare market. Our new '920' builds on a decade of research and IP development to extend our product roadmap."
The seed round was led by Eos Advisory alongside regional public and private backers.
"Robot-assisted surgery has become increasingly popular in recent years and is now widely used in various surgical procedures including urology, gynaecology, and colorectal. We have pilot programmes running with healthcare and medical device groups worldwide, including in the United States, and we now look forward to the commercialisation phase with the support of our new investors."
The Edinburgh biotech uses the capital to scale its 3D bioprinted tumour models across the UK, Europe, and the US.

The funding round was led by Eos Advisory and includes participation from the Scottish National Investment Bank.
