The Female Innovators Lab Fund is managed by Anthemis and focuses on early-stage startups operating at the intersection of finance and technology. Launched in 2019, the fund targets business models that deploy financial services across diverse industries in North America, the UK, and Europe.
The seed round was co-led by Contrarian Ventures and Anthemis to support international expansion and product development.
"The market was not going in the right direction. We noticed this personally when charging our car and visiting one charging station: depending on the payment method, you end up paying 50 different prices. That realisation came through a personal issue we experienced. In general, EV charging was inaccessible, complicated, and not user-friendly or user-centric — that’s why we created Cariqa."
The seed round was led by SpeedInvest with participation from Seedcamp and Anthemis Female Innovators Lab Fund.
"We’re fundamentally reshaping how work gets done, starting with real estate but certainly not ending there. Ellie isn’t your standard digital assistant – she’s a game-changer that amplifies human capabilities. We’re empowering professionals to break through old limits by uniting previously siloed data and generating deeper insights. We’re creating unprecedented business value across the real estate value chain and beyond."
