Jude is a London-based bladder care company providing digital subscription services, treatments, and education tools for bladder health. The company aims to improve clinical pathways and solutions for patients suffering from incontinence and urinary issues.

London-based bladder health tech startup Jude has secured $4.2m in a seed funding round led by Eka VC and Joyance. The financing also saw participation from Samos VC and Crista Galli Ventures, alongside a separate grant from Innovate UK.

The capital will be deployed to support the company as it enters the US market, with retail launches planned for late 2023 and direct-to-consumer operations following in early 2024. Funds will additionally be allocated to broaden the product and service portfolio, introduce symptom tracking and prescription features, and advance research into nutrition and urinary health.

Founded in 2022, Jude provides holistic treatment options and natural products for lower urinary tract issues. The latest financing follows a £2m pre-seed round raised by the company in the previous year.

From the founder

"Since launch, we’ve improved the lives of tens of thousands of people suffering from bladder issues with treatments and education tools. This investment will be critical in us achieving this mission, and expanding our services to the US, where 75m people struggle with these issues. I’m incredibly happy to welcome Eka Ventures and Joyance – who are aligned on our healthcare mission – and to continue our partnership with Samos VC."

Investor perspective

"We have been consistently impressed with Peony’s vision and the deep appreciation she has for building out a brand underpinned by a strong and supportive community and understanding the needs of the consumer. The size of the commercial opportunity is enormous. There is currently no scaled player that provides a holistic solution to prevention, treatment and management of incontinence and prostate related issues or a scaled player focused on healthy ageing."
