"This latest financing equips CMR with significant funds to accelerate our mission of bringing Versius to hospitals worldwide, whilst providing full flexibility to achieve our goals. This major injection of capital that now values us at $3billion not only reflects the level of interest we have seen in our product, but also the scale of the business, and will enable significant technology developments and global expansion. As the lead investor, SoftBank has a wealth of experience supporting disruptive business models and innovative technologies, and we look forward to leveraging their expertise and extensive ecosystem. I would also like to thank our existing investors for their long-term support."
The round was led by Energy Impact Partners with participation from Future Energy Ventures, Cyan Finance, and angel investors.
"Electric vehicles are at an inflection point in most developed markets. The rise of electric vehicles is a significant opportunity for energy utilities, through new and innovative services, that support their customers to go electric. We are very proud to back the team around Nick and Chris as they have already proven that they can scale internationally by appealing to drivers, utilities and car manufactures at the same time."
Strategic investor Invus Opportunities has backed the profitable UK consumer finance company to support its international growth.
"We welcome Invus Opportunities to the board and look forward to working with their team as we continue to grow ClearScore in the UK and internationally. As one of the only profitable UK fintech business operating at real scale, we didn’t need to raise money, but rather we chose to partner with Invus. We made this decision as a team because of Invus’ track record of working strategically over the long term with their businesses to recognise global opportunities, whilst delivering superior services to consumers. I have been incredibly impressed with Invus’ insight and I’m looking forward to working closely with them to deliver our vision, that ClearScore will become an indispensable financial partner to millions more users around the world."
The funding follows a $2.1m seed round and supports the upcoming launch of the NAYM token.
"We were lucky enough to have such an oversubscribed round, allowing us to be highly selective with whom we brought into the project. The additional expertise across capital markets, legal and compliance, token economics and community building will continue to help us support the growing insurance movement within the digital asset space."
The seed round was led by SFC Capital to support sales expansion and customer onboarding.
"We’re incredibly excited to have SFC Capital on board. Their support and guidance throughout this seed round has been invaluable, we are also delighted that several of our existing investors have joined them in this round."
