The Cambridge-based semiconductor IP supplier raised the funds to scale its engineering and commercial teams in Asia and North America.
"What excites us about Agile Analog is the potential for scale. Every other analog IP supplier is restricted to selling a limited range of standard IP products. But because Agile Analog’s unique technology enables it to create the IP that the customer wants, it can satisfy a wider range of customer requirements, and integrate more functionality into a chip design. As a result, the company is not limited by the size of today’s analog IP market – Agile Analog’s addressable market is potentially as big as the analog chip market. That is a huge opportunity which OMERS Ventures is pleased to help Agile Analog explore."
The seed round was led by Metaplanet Holdings with backing from several institutional investors and angels.
"We are thrilled to have closed our first external investment round, which was so popular we could have filled 2 or 3 times over. We are excited to kick on and start building out our fleet at scale, starting with our 11 satellite constellation for night time imagery"
The oversubscribed financing round draws over 20 angel investors to support the upcoming commercial release of the application.
"While there are many emerging tools that champion consumers’ financial degrees of freedom, there aren’t any that provide an independent view of borrowing and debt, despite the impact it can have on people’s financial and mental wellbeing. The purpose behind ilumoni, level of innovation and credentials of the team were more than enough to convince me this was an investment worth making. So much so that I am delighted also to be joining the board."
The seed round was led by Index Ventures with participation from existing backers and a research contract from Innovate UK.
"We founded Sylvera because we believed that in order to reach net zero, the world will require a well-functioning and scalable carbon offset market. Such a market will only work if all participants can trust in the projects they are trading. Currently, carbon offsetting is a very opaque market with little independent assurance available to guarantee an offset has taken place. The market also lacks the transparency companies need to compare projects globally across different standards,"
