Calculus Capital has led a £2m Series A round in employee engagement platform WorkL to fund global growth.
"WorkL’s mission is to help people to have a happier time at work and drive commercial performance as a result. I’m looking forward to this new stage of WorkL’s growth and Calculus is a great partner to support us in helping even more organisations improve the happiness and engagement of their teams"
The company reached its target in one week and closed oversubscribed by 12 percent.
"For too long entry-level candidates have been faced with the chicken and egg scenario of requiring experience to secure a job, but needing a job to get experience, and judged based on where they received their education. Now, we’re eliminating those problems by encouraging employers to ditch the outdated method of CV screening, and hire talent based on their attitude, behaviour and potential. We’re also building a community for young people that empowers them with skills, confidence and support to thrive in the world of work, and land a role where they can shine."
The pre-series b round was led by Samaipata and Stage 2 Capital to support client acquisition and technology development.
"With the cost of failed hires estimated to be three times their annual salary, Veremark’s efficient solution to background screening is helping businesses make fully informed hiring decisions. Despite a global slow down in recruitment, the company has continued to deliver exceptional growth due to the value it brings to customers. We are excited to continue backing Veremark’s remarkable growth journey as it continues to redefine workplace compliance and screening."
The financing round will help the medical technology company advance its epilepsy diagnosis software towards US and Middle Eastern markets.
"We are delighted to have invested in Neuronostics, whose software as a medical device could revolutionise how neurological conditions are diagnosed and treated."
The financing round was led by Plural with participation from existing investors and prominent angel backers.
"I’m ecstatic to team up with Plural as we continue to reimagine the recruiting ontology from first principles. By placing conversations at the nucleus of our platform, we’re leveraging state-of-the-art AI to operationalise the latent context within these interactions. This enables us to build AI agents that augment and automate hiring workflows in ways previously unimaginable."
