Neuronostics secures £2.1m seed funding led by Ascension Life Fund to accelerate international expansion.
The financing round will help the medical technology company advance its epilepsy diagnosis software towards US and Middle Eastern markets.
Neuronostics is a medical technology start-up that develops mathematical and computational tools to improve the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions. Based in the UK, the company creates digital biomarkers like BioEP to enhance standard clinical recordings.
Neuronostics has raised £2.1m in a seed funding round led by the Ascension Life Fund. The capital will be deployed to accelerate the company's route to market in the UK and Middle East, alongside pursuing regulatory approval from the FDA in the United States.
The financing also drew participation from QantX, Empirical Ventures, and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Investment Fund managed by The FSE Group. Founded as a University of Exeter spin-out, the company produces computational methodologies to interpret brain dynamics and support clinicians in identifying epilepsy.
The fresh funding arrives alongside recent grant wins, including a £350k award from Innovate UK and a £100k contract from SBRI Health for a feasibility study in paediatric cohorts. Neuronostics plans to use the resources to scale its web-based platform across international clinical centres.
