Pre-Seed

The pre-seed investment from the Royal College of Art's Design & Innovation S/EIS Fund will accelerate the development of the company's smart mouthguard technology.

"Securing this pre-seed funding from the RCA is a significant milestone for CTEye. It validates our mission to move the conversation beyond simply detecting concussions to proactively preserving long-term brain health and allows us to accelerate the development of our sensor technology and 3D mapping software."
— Georgios Koukoulis, Founder
£8.7M

The funding round included participation from XTX Ventures and Macmillan Cancer Support to accelerate deployment and expand diagnostics.

"Cancer imaging volumes are rising rapidly but reporting capacity is not keeping pace. Our goal is to give clinicians faster, more confident decisions while reducing unnecessary interventions for patients. With our deep focus on prostate cancer and strong clinical validation across NHS pathways, we’re showing how AI can deliver earlier and more accurate diagnoses. In the NHS, few Trusts can confirm or rule out cancer within 28 days, and some patients can wait two months or longer. Lucida Medical is ideally placed to reduce this burden, and this funding will allow us to do that faster."
— Antony Rix, Co-founder and CEO
Series A
£13.0M

The Series A round was backed by Meridian Health Ventures, Fuel Ventures, Bolt Angels and Guinness Ventures.

"We have a structural problem in mental health: demand is infinite, capacity is finite. The answer isn’t choosing between technology and therapists, it’s using technology to reach millions of people who will never see a therapist. Clinically governed mental health content, embedded inside the digital experiences people already use, is how we close that gap. But this isn’t just a mental health story, it’s a digital engagement story too. Organisations want their users to actually engage with what they build. JAAQ is the platform that makes both happen, safely and at scale."
— Alex Packham
Series A
£2.6M

The financing was led by the T&J Meyer Family Foundation and will fund pivotal FDA registration trials for the company's HIVEC treatment.

"Combat Medicalis leading the development and clinical use of device assisted therapies with potential to disrupt current treatment standards. With systems in wide clinical use and already impacting patient outcomes, we are excited to support the company as HIVEC progresses through clinical trials."
— Balint Nemeth
