The seed round was led by Ingenious Ventures and Galata Business Angels.
"Since 1993 we’ve watched four waves – the first was web authoring tools, the second was content management systems, the third was hosted content management systems, and the fourth is social publishing."
London Business Angels contributed to the £90k post seed raise, bringing total recent funding to over £440k.
"In this fast moving business environment, Moshi Monsters, Angry Birds and Temple Run have all redefined how children’s brands can be built. Small digital companies with innovative ideas can compete with much larger, established companies for children’s attention. I’m thrilled that we can work with LBA investors to grow Night Zookeeper and further our mission to turn children from simply the consumers of digital media into the creators."
The seed round was cornerstoned by a £125k investment from Angels in the City and London Business Angels syndicate members.
"Our team founded BreakBad to change the way we understand, measure and influence our health from tracking symptomatic metrics like calories and kilos to the causal metrics that drive our behaviour. We needed the funds to hire the talent required to embark on this exciting journey and pitched at Angels in the City. Huge thanks to Kayar Raghavan our lead investor and Andrew Dancer our board member who helped with fund raising and strategy respectively. The Angels in the City process was seamless and in less than 2 months, we have the funds and team to embark on this exciting journey."
