Funeral Zone operates a digital platform providing free online obituaries and practical guidance for the bereaved.

Funeral Zone has secured £150k in funding from the Minerva business angel network to support its online bereavement services. Conceived by Ed Gallois and Kevin Homeyard, the Exeter-based company works alongside funeral directors to offer free obituaries, memorials, and practical advice for families.

The investment round was quickly fully subscribed, aided by a lead investor from the funeral sector who identified the potential for a centralised digital resource. Funeral Zone intends to use the capital to further develop its platform connecting the bereaved with necessary services.
