London Business Angels and the London Co Investment Fund backed the jewellery brand in its latest capital raise.
"It has been just a joy working with London Business Angels throughout our fund raising process. They guided me from pitching to answering tough questions, and most importantly have been crucial in helping us to complete the round. The majority of our angel investors, including our lead investor, come from their Group, and they’ve also helped me secure funding from the London Co-Investment Fund. The entire process was swift and smooth and everyone’s been extremely supportive. I’m excited to be on a long-term journey with all the LBA and the investors"
The funding round was backed by Index Ventures partner Robin Klein, Zoopla CEO Alex Chesterman, Encore Capital, and Infocomm Investments.
"This fund will see us becoming one of the highest frequency investors in Europe and what’s most exciting is that the 200+ people we invest in will all be focused on cutting edge technology,"
The Cambridge-based biotechnology company secured the capital from a group of angel investors and Finance Wales.
"The early support we have received for our ideas and technologies from our angel investors and from Finance Wales has been very encouraging. We are delighted that this will allow us to maintain the very rapid momentum we have achieved in a short time."
The Greater Manchester spinout secured the capital from backers including The North West Fund for Biomedical and Central Manchester Foundation Trust to fund pre-clinical trials.
"Manchester is committed to its strategic and operational support for business growth and Co Angel Investment are just one of the services we have supported which is making a difference. We knew when we launched Co that Manchester held huge potential for a better, lower risk investment platform: the growing businesses like Gelexir are here, the Angels are here and now we have the infrastructure to bring them together to release further potential in the region."
