Novalis LifeSciences led the Series B round, which will fund team expansion and platform commercialisation.
"Our mission as a company is to enable widespread patient access to life saving cell and gene therapies. One of the biggest obstacles to achieving this is cell and gene therapy manufacturing processes that are too expensive, too highly variable and too low throughput. Our team is focused on the urgent need to enhance the ability of cell and gene therapy developers, CDMOs and Academic Medical Centers to deliver these therapies to as many patients as possible as quickly as possible,"
The London-based biotechnology firm raised the capital from backers including Cantos Ventures and Y Combinator.
"The global pandemic has catapulted RNA therapeutics into the mainstream, yet the field is constrained to targeting the liver. Sixfold’s iterative platform technology and use of machine learning will unlock the power of mRNA and RNAi for many diseases across various tissue types. We are delighted to support the Company in this seed round and look forward to their rapid progress over the coming years."
The life sciences software provider raised the capital from Horizons Ventures and Sofinnova Partners to fund commercial growth.
"But to maximize impact, we need to expand access and reach to customers across the globe—at scale. This investment serves as a strong vote of confidence from world-class investors in the biopharmaceutical and innovation technology industries. With their support, we’ll be able to better deploy human and financial capital to help transform scientific dreams into drugs and alternative food sources."
Vita Spring provided the funding as QuantuMDx also pursues commercialisation discussions with Sansure Biotech.
"I am very pleased to announce this equity investment today which will enable us to further evolve the Q-POC™ platform, making our system one of the most innovative, high multiplexing, molecular point of care devices in the market. Vita Spring shares our mission of developing accurate and efficient solutions to identify pathogens and diagnose diseases and so we are delighted they have chosen to invest in QuantuMDx. We are also looking forward to our close future relationship with Sansure and believe they will be an excellent partner for QuantuMDx in China as we look to increase our global footprint in Chinese and adjacent markets."

"Traditional clinical research companies are dinosaurs. Taking part in a COVID vaccine trial was like stepping into a time machine. This was one of the best funded trials in history but research was done on pen and paper and participants had to go into hospital at the height of the pandemic to fill out forms. We founded Lindus Health to make it easier for patients to participate in research, and accelerate the development of new treatments."
