Sixfold Bioscience has secured £7.8m in a seed funding round to advance its Mergo RNA therapeutics delivery platform. The capital injection included contributions from backers such as Y Combinator, Cantos Ventures, Lombard Street Ventures, and Pi Campus, alongside non-dilutive support from Innovate UK and the European Commission.
The funds will be directed towards developing the Mergo system, which uses high-throughput chemistry and computation to target tissues beyond the liver. This latest financing follows a second close that brought total dilutive and non-dilutive capital raised to $10.5m.
