Mercia Ventures backed the award-winning clean tech enterprise in its first external financing round.
The funding round includes backing from Axel Weber and Startup Wise Guys to accelerate product development.
"In today’s environment, transparency, auditability, and regulatory alignment are not optional – they are a must. Vivox AI is building the blueprint for how regulated financial institutions should integrate AI safely and responsibly."
The early-stage round was backed by Speedinvest and Nucleus Capital.
"The agricultural industry faces significant performance and sustainability challenges which is driving demand for more efficient products. Yet there’s no affordable, rational, or systematic way to discover molecular glues that are the foundation for such products. We’re changing that. We’re using the power of AI to rapidly and accurately derive new molecules that can change farming’s future."
Wellington Management led the financing round, which brings total funding to £110m.
"Everyone is focused on building bigger models, but for physical AI, the bottleneck isn't model size. It's data readiness. You can have the most sophisticated model in the world, and it will still fail if the data feeding it is incomplete, inconsistent, or misaligned with real-world conditions. That's the problem we solve."
The company completed an $18.5m total Seed round with backing from Cambridge Innovation Capital, UP.Partners, Insight Partners, and InMotion Ventures.
"Engineering teams require ever-faster, more flexible simulation, but do not have the technology to deliver on these demands. Generative physics introduces a fundamentally new approach to engineering, unlocking innovation across fields ranging from aerospace and automotive to data-centre design. We now have the capital and investor support to accelerate our research roadmap and scale commercial adoption. This could be the ChatGPT moment for physics."
