Encord raises £44.3m in a Series C round led by Wellington Management to scale data infrastructure for physical AI.
Wellington Management led the financing round, which brings total funding to £110m.
Encord provides data infrastructure for physical AI systems, helping teams manage and process complex multimodal data. The platform supports over 300 global artificial intelligence teams across various industries.
Encord has secured £44.3m in a Series C funding round led by Wellington Management. The investment will support the company as it scales its AI native data infrastructure platform amid rising demand from physical artificial intelligence developers.
The financing follows a period of rapid expansion for the firm, which reports a tenfold increase in physical artificial intelligence revenue over the past twelve months. Additional participation in the round came from existing backers alongside new investors Bright Pixel Capital and Isomer Capital.
The capital will be deployed to accelerate product development and support expansion into new markets as autonomous systems and robotics transition from experimental pilots into commercial production.
From the founder
"Everyone is focused on building bigger models, but for physical AI, the bottleneck isn't model size. It's data readiness. You can have the most sophisticated model in the world, and it will still fail if the data feeding it is incomplete, inconsistent, or misaligned with real-world conditions. That's the problem we solve."
