Koch Disruptive Technologies led the Series B round to support the commercialisation of the Veros diagnostics platform.
"This Series B round is crucial in providing us with the resources to grow our Veros platform to revolutionize decentralized point-of-care testing; and it is particularly important as we commercialize our Veros COVID-19 test, which delivers laboratory quality results directly to users within minutes, without an instrument. This will be an essential tool in the effective management of outbreaks of this and other diseases,"
The round was co-led by Worth Capital and Loyal VC, incorporating angel investment and a Seedrs campaign.
"I am thrilled not only to close a successful $1.5m fundraise but to share our journey and vision with over 900 investors, many who came through crowdfunding platform Seedrs. Having the backing and mentorship in the guise of Worth Capital, Loyal VC and our advisors puts us in a strong position for hypergrowth"
The seed round was led by UCL Technology Fund and IP Group to help fund memory device prototyping.
"Existing memory technologies, such as Flash, are reaching the limits of their capabilities – particularly in embedded systems such as those we need in IoT devices. Intrinsic’s memristor technology will transform next generation systems by combining high performance with ease of integration in digital CMOS. By basing our devices on silicon oxide, we ensure that they are as simple and as cheap to integrate with silicon-based electronics as it is possible to be."
