Additive Manufacturing Technologies develops automated surface finishing systems for industrial 3D printing. The Sheffield based firm automates the final production stages to reduce costs for manufacturers.

Sheffield based Additive Manufacturing Technologies has secured £2.5m in a Series A follow on funding round. The investment was led by Mercia via the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, alongside Foresight Williams Technology, the government Future Fund, and DSM Venturing.

The capital arrives as the company scales its operations following a partnership agreement with HP. The business intends to direct the proceeds towards continued growth and product development initiatives.

Previous backers in the company include NPIF and DSM Venturing. The latest injection brings total funding raised by the firm to over £7m.
