The investment round was led by Frontline Ventures with backing from angel investors to scale technology infrastructure and engineering capacity.
"This is an exciting time for our business. We are delighted to have secured joint investment from Frontline Ventures and a number of angel investors to provide buy-side firms with new opportunities to discover and interact with latent liquidity. We enable buy-side firms to radically rethink their approach to interacting with the market, gain exposure to deal flow opportunities they have not been able to access before, and proactively drive liquidity in the market."
The Edinburgh based brand protection firm secured backing from ACF Investors, Mercia, and Scottish Enterprise to advance its technology.
"Sometimes out of adversity comes opportunity, and SnapDragon is testament to that. We are helping brands to remove fakes from sale online: protecting revenues, reputations and, most importantly, the end consumer. What brands may not realise is that sales made from counterfeits fund organised crime, such as trafficking – and nobody wants a fake of their brand funding illicit trade. In identifying fakes online, and removing them from sale on the pertinent platforms, we prevent their visibility and subsequent purchase, export, import and distribution."
The seed round was backed by Founders Fund and Sweet Capital to support team expansion and new product verticals.
"I’m delighted to have the support of Founders Fund and Sweet Capital as we continue our mission to help more creatives get paid. We’re just getting started."
The Edinburgh laser manufacturer has closed a £1.2m round backed by Kelvin Capital, EOS, Scottish Enterprise, and ESM Investments.
"This new funding will enable us to expand our team and accelerate Chromacity’s growth, both commercially and technologically. We are seeing significant traction with major industrial companies in China and Japan, who are very interested in the high average power and broad wavelength coverage of our systems, and it’s important we are funded to accelerate growth and capitalise on these opportunities."
