National Grid Partners led the Series B round to help scale the electric vehicle software platform across Europe and North America.
"In the next few years, total EV demand in most developed countries will surpass the energy output of even the largest power plants – for example, the behemoth Palo Verde Generating Station in the US. As more EVs come online, optimised charging and load maintenance will remain critical tools for ensuring grid stability. By being able to shape and control EV load, ev.energy can both benefit the grid and help drivers to charge using the greenest and cheapest energy."
Elbow Beach Capital led the round to support the production of the company's flagship mobile energy storage technology.
"Allye’s innovative technology and the exceptional team behind the company align perfectly with our investment thesis. We are excited to support Allye on their journey as they tackle multiple pain points simultaneously and unlock the vast potential of energy storage solutions."
The pre seed round was structured by South Pole, QVentures and Portfolion to prepare for a European rollout.
"We are excited to get started and solve a pressing issue around greenwashing and questions that a lot of the corporate sector are asking right now: where do my certificates come from? will they count towards my sustainability targets? are they impactful? can they be matched to my exact consumption? This is why Renewabl was born."
The seed round features backing from HighSage Ventures, Vireo Ventures, and various industry figures to scale the company's London laboratory.
"Our partnership with About:Energy highlights the importance of innovation in the UK and our commitment to partnering with emerging leaders to shape the future of mobility. We look forward to supporting About:Energy to scale throughout the global Plug and Play ecosystem."
