British Design Fund backed the London robotics startup as it prepares to deploy monitoring hardware in international markets.

"We believe the ocean is central to solving the climate and nature emergency. Not only can seaweed capture up to 20x more carbon than terrestrial trees but when farmed responsibly it can also provide a sustainable food source and aid biodiversity, while empowering coastal economies."

Series A
£48.0M

The financing round was led by Sofinnova Partners, F-Prime Capital, Digitalis Ventures and Cambridge Innovation Capital.

"We’re delighted to have raised this Series A with such high-quality investors whose amazing networks and shared vision will help us deliver highly differentiated TCR cancer therapies. TCR therapeutics are very much at the dawn of their potential. We intend to replicate the success of therapeutic antibodies but build on this in a new dimension, by using the targeting domains of TCR receptors to take advantage of their much greater specificity for cancer cells compared to normal cells. The same logic can be used to target immunosuppressive biologics to tissues impacted by autoimmune disorders."

Eleven Ventures led the seed investment in the financial artificial intelligence platform, with additional backing from Fuel Ventures.

"It was immediately clear from our own experiences in Venture Capital that Eilla’s innovative, AI driven approach will save a substantial amount of time and resources. Eilla will enable us in VC and others across PE, Corporate Finance and beyond to really focus on actually adding value. We’re excited to be investing alongside Eleven Ventures, and are looking forward to building something great with the enormously talented Eilla team."
