The County Antrim-based luxury gifting brand has secured its first equity funding round to scale operations and expand into new markets.
"Growing The Present Tree from an ambitious idea to the thriving business we see today has been an incredible journey. I am so proud of our team who have shown such devotion to the business and always ensure every tree gift we send carries the spark of love and meaning that is at the heart of The Present Tree."
The company completed an $18.5m total Seed round with backing from Cambridge Innovation Capital, UP.Partners, Insight Partners, and InMotion Ventures.
"Engineering teams require ever-faster, more flexible simulation, but do not have the technology to deliver on these demands. Generative physics introduces a fundamentally new approach to engineering, unlocking innovation across fields ranging from aerospace and automotive to data-centre design. We now have the capital and investor support to accelerate our research roadmap and scale commercial adoption. This could be the ChatGPT moment for physics."
AlbionVC backed the seed round alongside PROfounders Capital, Ascension, and Emerge to support platform development.
"HR teams are stuck in a cycle of manual admin and legacy tools are failing them. They are forced to choose between clunky ticketing systems that employees hate, or basic chatbots that can’t actually get work done. We built Kinfolk to break this cycle. By shifting from manual coordination to autonomous execution, we let HR teams scale their operations and focus on the strategic work that actually drives company growth. We’re excited to give People teams the operating system they deserve, one that actually performs work instead of just managing it."
The funding round includes participation from JamJar Investments, Cur8 Capital, Energy Mix Ventures, Project Ventures, and angel investor Vlad Yatsenko.
"Having the backing of some of the UK’s most respected investors, including JamJar and a founder of one of Britain’s most successful tech companies, is a powerful validation of our team, our mission, and the product we’ve built. We’re not just optimising energy; we’re creating a more intelligent, sustainable and user-centred way of living."
