"The strong financial foundation that our investors are giving us will be crucial to our ability to work with our partners to deliver large scale mmWave 5G deployments across a number of key markets. Working closely with our partners and their customers, we are seeing a diverse and growing range of emerging applications for our technology – whether it be for drone-to-drone communications or private enterprise networks. We’d like to thank all our shareholders for their continued support at this pivotal commercialisation phase."
AfricInvest led the Series A round with participation from Endeavor Catalyst to support platform development.
"Through our own cutting-edge research, we have developed a platform that goes beyond what we have seen in AI applications in the past. It can tackle challenging optimisation and automation challenges in dynamic and complex environments such as, but not limited to, mobility, logistics, manufacturing and energy. We already see that our product is providing real value and ROI for our clients"
Calculus Capital led the round, which will help the idea management platform expand its sales and product capabilities.
"It really feels like the time is now for idea management and we want to be the company leading the market as it grows, matures and becomes even more mainstream"
The record-breaking Series A round was led by Insight Partners and DST Global with participation from GIC and Blossom Capital.
"We have been fortunate to have some of the world’s leading investors approach us for some time but our focus has remained on building the very best suite of products we can for our merchants on four continents. Having built a sustainable business, one hire at a time, it was crucial to find partners that share our vision of how enterprise businesses will consume financial services in the future. We have anticipated this from our early days and have designed Checkout.com’s platform from the outset so that we can easily deliver incremental services to our customers as the company expands its offering."
Fuel Ventures has backed the online tutoring platform in a £2m seed round.
"Our company is run by education specialists and tutors, with years of experience. We’re on a mission to change the way students and parents find trusted and qualified tutors. We want to return autonomy to tutors, tutees, and families, to make tutoring affordable for, and accessible to, the people that need it the most. That’s not a big ask, and we’re well on our way to making that happen."
