Dutch Security TechFund led the round, which will accelerate expansion across the UK and Europe.
"We are very pleased to work with the investors in this round, each providing not only capital but experienced strategic value to our business. We are looking forward to working with TIIN Capital closely going forward, as we explore the Dutch and wider European markets."
The funding values the Sheffield based manufacturing technology spin out at £2m.
"We could not have asked for a better start; this six-figure investment puts us on track to refine and develop our technology in time for the launch of our next product in the spring – a plug and play device that unlocks step changes in productivity for British manufacturers, supporting a rapid post-Covid recovery and keeping the UK’s exporters truly competitive in the global marketplace."
SFC Capital led the seed investment round to support product innovation and market expansion at Jack & Bry.
"We know consumers are seeking out meat alternatives in ever greater numbers, but they are also seeking higher quality in the plant-based foods they buy. Key to that is authentic recreation of taste and texture, and we’re proud to have developed a full retail range of branded jackfruit products to mimic all the meats to satisfy that demand."
The pre-seed round was led by SFC Capital with backing from the Barclays Accelerator and angel investors.
"For many companies, this is the first time they have needed to prepare this information and they are operating at a disadvantage as compared to investors."
The pre-seed round will back research and development as well as sales and marketing expansion.
"Machine learning is more and more integral to products and services we use every day – and to decisions that businesses and governments make about us – but without a widely-accessible way of identifying and eliminating bias, it could cause significant damage to our society by further entrenching discriminatory decision-making despite our best intentions and without us even realising."
