The London-based educational gaming studio raised the capital from Horizons Ventures to debut its first virtual reality game.
"Virtual reality has progressed significantly over the last decade, but a primary issue stems from the fact it’s a single-person experience. We are incredibly excited to be launching this game as part of our ambition to shift into the VR market."
Earlybird led the investment round, which will fund international expansion and platform development.
"We want to help everyone become wiser, empathetic, and fulfilled. I believe learning about ideas and insights shaping our future, and stories that move us can do exactly that,"
The investment round was co-led by Nyca Partners and QED Investors to support international expansion and product development.
"Though the card networks have built extremely robust infrastructure, alternative payment methods are evolving and consumer choice will be driven by value. Our goal at Fidel is to supercharge innovation by empowering everyone in the ecosystem. By making it easy for developers to build on top of the infrastructure, the card networks stay relevant. By removing the barriers to entry for developers, applications can be brought to market more quickly. That drives value back to consumers, who get the same benefits and user experience they are used to receiving with other online services."
