Earlybird led the investment round, which will fund international expansion and platform development.
Curio operates a subscription audio platform that turns journalism from major publications into spoken word content. The ad-free application provides curated stories and analysis daily.
London-based audio platform Curio has secured £7m in a Series A funding round led by Earlybird. Additional backing came from Draper Esprit, Cherry Ventures, and Horizons Ventures. The fresh capital will be deployed to expand the company presence in the United States and the United Kingdom, alongside launching in new anglophone markets such as India, South Africa, and Australia. Further plans involve developing co-produced series, guest curation features, and AI-led personalisation.
