Guinness Asset Management is a London-based specialist fund management company established in 2003 that manages over £3bn for institutional and retail investors.
The Series A round was led by Nesta Impact Investments and Guinness Asset Management to support remote learning initiatives.
"As a student at Oxford and the University of Western Australia, I would’ve loved to have had access to this content online for free. That’s why I founded BibliU and I’m proud to say we’ve addressed that for hundreds of thousands of students at our partner universities. We’re investing in our team and continuing to develop our institutional delivery tools. I’m also thrilled to have Sean Devine joining our board as Chairman, his experience as CEO and President of CourseSmart and Safari Books Online brings invaluable industry experience to our team."
The oversubscribed round was led by Guinness Asset Management and Maven Capital Partners to fund global expansion and product development.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Guinness and Maven. This investment will be used to transform the future of the offline retail industry, which has struggled over the years to counter competition from online players, by building on our success with our award-winning technology. We are already recognised as the market leader in the mall loyalty CRM sector and this investment will help extend our reach and meet the growing needs and expectations of shopping malls, outlets and brands seeking advanced customer loyalty capabilities."
The investment round was led by Arm, Calculus Capital, Kendall, MGL, and Guinness Asset Management.
"The strong financial foundation that our investors are giving us will be crucial to our ability to work with our partners to deliver large scale mmWave 5G deployments across a number of key markets. Working closely with our partners and their customers, we are seeing a diverse and growing range of emerging applications for our technology – whether it be for drone-to-drone communications or private enterprise networks. We’d like to thank all our shareholders for their continued support at this pivotal commercialisation phase."
The video management platform raised the Series B capital from Downing Ventures, Guinness Asset Management, and Cambridge Innovation Capital.
"This funding is clear recognition of the value our partners and prospects see in the platform. We have a world class roster of clients across the sports, media and enterprise sectors and have a healthy pipeline going into 2019. We look forward to accelerating our global operations and are thrilled to be working with new investors to continue shaping the future of video management."
