Cambridge Innovation Capital is an established VC firm embedded in the UK technology ecosystem with privileged access to the University of Cambridge. The firm manages over £600m of capital and invests across deep tech and life sciences.
Cambridge Innovation Capital and Amadeus Capital Partners led the seed round to support quantum software development.

Even huge supercomputers are limited to approximations. As a result the design of new drugs and materials remains primarily a laboratory, rather than a computational, exercise. Riverlane’s software aims to unleash the huge potential of quantum computers."
National Grid Partners joined existing investors Cambridge Innovation Capital and IQ Capital in backing the sound recognition specialist.
"Our Series A round in 2017 raised $5.5m. Since then we’ve doubled the size of the company, licensed our technology to leading players and seen their products make a significant impact on the smart home market,"
The financing round was led by RT Ventures and will support the US commercial roll-out of the company test.
