"For decades, pest management has been held back by laborious, error-prone manual monitoring. With our technology it is finally possible to change this and help industries around the world to make a step change from reactive to proactive management of pests. This will save billions and massively reduce the amount of pesticide used globally. We’re delighted to have strong support from a wide group of investors who share our vision. This funding will allow us to scale up our commercial operations and continue to address the £320bn global problem of insect pests."
The investment round was led by Parkwalk Advisors and Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund.
"The energy efficiency of many products could be greatly improved if they incorporated gas and flow sensors, but companies are unable to do so due to cost, size, or manufacturing constraints. Our vision is to bring flow- and gas-sensing technologies to all these products. This funding round helps us to scale up and bring our vision to reality."
The seed round was led by UKI2S and Longwall Ventures to support cell therapy bioprocessing development.
"We are thrilled to close this initial funding round with help from UKI2S. We are continuing to establish partnerships with Biotech and Pharma, on top of our existing partnerships with the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult and the Centre for Process Innovation. The funding will be used to further develop our technology, as well as fund trials with our partners."
The financing round was backed by IQ Capital, Longwall Venture Partners, Martlet, and Cambridge Angels.
"Having been in stealth mode for several years, this latest fund raising marks a significant milestone for the business and its founders. As well as securing venture capital funding from experienced investors in deep tech and life sciences, we have been able to establish corporate partnerships with international Pharma companies and the NHS, we have also hired a senior management team that represents the very best in talent across healthcare and technology."
