British Design Fund works with ambitious British product start-ups who are ready to scale-up and build thriving stand-out businesses.
The London startup will use the capital to advance product development and commercial deployment of its food waste dyes.
"Synthetic dye is used in everything from clothing to bedding and cosmetics. But this type of dye is highly toxic, carcinogenic and incredibly polluting."
British Design Fund and Imperial College Enterprise Fund back the healthcare startup to launch its first product.
"The idea for our product came from years spent on hospital wards during my career as a design researcher in healthcare. I noticed that gravity infusions were often inaccurate, and fluid balance management was generally poor. This inspired me to dedicate my career to designing solutions that could make a real difference in patient care."
British Design Fund backs the medical technology startup as it prepares to launch its first consumer products.

The seed round was co-led by Archipelago Ventures and Circular Plastics Accelerator to support the development of material identification scanners.

The funding round was backed by British Design Fund to accelerate product development and market reach.
"Pain and joint conditions, collectively known as musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, affect 20m people in the UK and 1.7bn people globally. Many of these disorders can be effectively treated and managed through water-based therapeutic interventions. However, until now, we have been unable to measure movement in water to assess the power, speed or range of movement with any accuracy. We’re delighted to say Good Boost has cracked that engineering challenge."
