The round was led by BGF, Shell Ventures, and Move Energy alongside existing investors Barclays and Clean Growth Fund.

"We are thrilled to have BGF and Shell Ventures support in our mission to decarbonise cold chain logistics. Their investment, alongside the continued backing of our existing investors, is a real validation of Sunswap’s journey to date. This funding will be instrumental in accelerating our growth and expanding our presence in the UK and European markets. It will enable us to ramp up production, support further customer trials, and invest in the development of our zero-emission technology. The London-based residential energy services company has raised debt financing from Barclays to widen access to domestic green technology.

"Many homeowners naturally want to invest in renewable technologies but are put off by the extraordinarily high upfront costs. That’s why we’re focused on removing barriers to help more households take control of their energy bills and carbon emissions. We’re delighted to be working with Barclays to help us develop and scale flexible finance solutions with all-inclusive cover built-in, to enable homeowners to make the switch to clean, green energy with confidence."
