VividQ secures £11m seed extension round led by UTokyo Innovation Platform to scale holographic display technology.

The funding round was led by UTokyo Innovation Platform and will be used to expand operations and accelerate product development.
VividQ develops software and intellectual property that enable computer-generated holography for next-generation digital displays. Its technology supports applications across automotive head-up displays, augmented reality wearables, and consumer electronics.
VividQ has raised £11m in a seed extension round led by UTokyo Innovation Platform, with participation from several new and existing backers. The capital will support team expansion, international growth in the APAC region, and further product development for its holographic display solutions. The company aims to advance computer-generated holography across automotive head-up displays, augmented reality wearables, and consumer electronics.
The Cambridge-based firm has now raised over £17m in total funding since its inception. Previous investors including University of Tokyo Edge Capital, Sure Valley Ventures, and Essex Innovation also contributed to the round, alongside new participants such as Foresight Williams Technology, Miyako Capital, APEX Ventures, and R42 Group.
