The Series A round was co-led by Molten Ventures and Bright Pixel Capital with participation from Peter Bauer.
Duel provides a brand advocacy platform that helps retail brands grow by activating their customer and creator communities. The company enables businesses to manage networks of advocates to generate authentic content and drive referrals.
Duel has secured £11.9m in a Series A funding round co-led by Molten Ventures and Bright Pixel Capital, with participation from existing backer Peter Bauer. The London-based brand advocacy platform will deploy the capital to accelerate its expansion into the US market, build out its enterprise artificial intelligence capabilities, and further establish brand advocacy as a core retail marketing strategy.
The company provides software that allows retail brands to recruit, manage, and scale creator networks from their existing customer bases. This funding follows the company's recent opening of a New York office as it looks to capture growing demand among American lifestyle and fashion brands.
Investor perspective
"Duel is rewriting the playbook for how brands grow in the modern world. Performance marketing has become expensive, impersonal, and often ineffective. Duel provides an alternative that is better aligned to how consumers discover and engage with brands and can transform the way that brands are built and marketed. We’re thrilled to support Duel as they build a new category and reshape how modern brands grow."
