C7 Health secures £300k in seed funding to roll out its diagnostic software platform
The financing package was underwritten by Mercia Fund Managers and the Midlands Engine Investment Fund.
C7 Health develops a healthcare software platform designed to streamline diagnostic scans and reduce waiting times for patients. The company operates from Henley-in-Arden in Warwickshire.
Warwickshire-based C7 Health has secured £300k in seed investment to accelerate the deployment of its clinical software platform. The financing was provided through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund and Mercia Fund Managers, combining £150k from the MEIF Proof of Concept and Early Stage Fund with £150k from Mercia EIS funds. The capital will enable the firm to complete its build and testing phase ahead of initial deployments with diagnostic providers.
Founded earlier in the year by former EMIS Group chief technology officer Phil Webb, the company aims to modernise the referral pathway for diagnostic scans to alleviate administrative burdens on general practitioners and shorten waiting lists for National Health Service patients. The business plans to initiate its first recruitment drive following the platform rollout.
From the founder
"As a clinical services-led company, C7 Health’s mantra is to work shoulder-to-shoulder with healthcare providers to deliver solutions that will benefit patients – rather than develop products that are great in theory, but fail to make a real difference."
