Marathon Venture Capital led the seed round to support product development and team expansion.
"We are here to challenge the current industry perceptions about digitalization and automation. Our mission is to increase capacity in construction by optimising the manufacturing performance of offsite factories. Once the day-to-day design-to-manufacturing workflows are automated, the integration of manufacturing automation technologies becomes the obvious, de-risked next step."
The London startup has raised £150k from the British Design Fund to support the commercial launch of its PluumoPlus thermal packaging.
"The investment from the British Design Fund is going to be instrumental in our ability to manufacture our first units of PluumoPlus and get them into the hands of our existing waiting list, which includes some of the largest pharmaceutical and life science logistics companies in the world. The next 12 months will see us focused on optimising production and further product development, based on client demand"
The Seed round was led by Adjuvo with participation from Haatch Ventures, Unbundled VC, and multiple angel investors.
"Until now, receipts have represented nothing but waste and a wasted opportunity. We’re transforming the humble receipt from its static, destined-for-landfill status into a data-rich source of customer insight. The response we’ve seen from our early adopter retail partners says it all: our software drives engagement and unlocks valuable customer data. We’ve seen huge spikes in everything from email sign-ups to app downloads for the brands using our software. This investment will enable us to work with more retailers, make our products even more impactful, and prevent billions of receipts from heading to landfill."
