"Most mainstream database technologies, whether relational, graph, or document-oriented, keep the latest state of the data, throwing away the old data when it changes. In contrast, EventStoreDB, the leader in the emerging class of databases, called Event Stores, is specifically designed to keep the changes along with the business context of those changes, in the form of events. Current state can then be derived from replaying the event stream. This pattern enables a myriad of benefits, including powerful audit, debugging, caching, occasionally connected scenarios, and much more."
The Series A round was led by Notion Capital with backing from Fitch Ventures and several angel investors.

This funding will enable us to accelerate our growth to meet the demand and needs of our clients."
Pelican Capital has provided growth funding to support technological development and workforce expansion.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Pelican Capital. Alongside the funding, which will enable us to scale our on-demand and subscription parking marketplace, invest in our technology platform, and increase our ability to attract new commercial partners, Pelican brings varied experience and strong expertise in driving sustainable growth. With their support, we look forward to working with more real estate owners to optimise their empty space and help them adapt to an increasingly digital future in parking."
The seed round was led by Mercia with participation from angel investor Owen McFarlane.
"I have a big passion for renewable and clean energy, and having grown up experiencing regular blackouts through the collective peak time usage of energy, I wanted to do something about it. I wanted to create a cleaner way of using energy for everyone, which is also more affordable, and build a community to be able to achieve that,"
