Cherwell Laboratories and the Development Bank of Wales have taken a minority stake in the environmental monitoring specialist.

This investment is perfect timing for Pinpoint and allows us to create a range of ground-breaking products for this market."
The financing will support team growth and technology development following the platform rollout earlier this year.

The funding round was led by West Hill Capital and values the healthcare technology company at £47.6m.

The biotechnology spin-out raised funds from backers including the Angel CoFund and o2h Ventures alongside Department of Health and Social Care grants.
"This latest funding further validates our computational design-led focus that has enabled rapid progress in building our pipeline of novel antibiotic programmes."
The Series B round was led by Leaps by Bayer to support clinical studies and technology development.
