The healthtech startup has secured fresh backing to advance the artificial intelligence capabilities of its clinical trials platform.

"This next round of Innovate UK funding is a huge endorsement of everything we are achieving with Archer. For us, it’s always been about how we accelerate a major step-change in the speed, efficiency and affordability of clinical studies."
— Dan Hydes, CEO
Series A
£1.8M

The Series A round was led by Artesian Investments to expand the digital instruction platform.

"This investment represents an incredibly exciting step towards our vision to become the de facto product to improve skiing technique. Skiing is a difficult sport to learn, and 88% of skiers stop lessons after less than 1 week – Carv offers a convenient and fun experience to continue learning. The pandemic has only accelerated the adoption of Carv’s digital ski instruction with us seeing over a 100% year-on-year growth for 2020 Q4. We are excited to be rapidly expanding our user base as the additional data helps us build an ever better coaching system. We are proud to welcome back our existing investors and see their continued support for our vision to deliver digital sports coaching. This is just the start for Carv, and we look forward to the next stage of growth and innovation."
— Jamie Grant, Chief Executive Officer
Series D+
£72.2M

Lightspeed Venture Partners led the Series D round, which included participation from Battery Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, and Silicon Valley Bank UK Branch.

"Modern data teams are facing an influx of data from across the enterprise, while under immense pressure to rapidly deliver the actionable insights required to compete in today's digital economy,"
— Matthew Scullion, CEO and Co-founder
Series A
£3.0M

Episode 1, MMC Ventures and NHN Ventures backed the mobile authentication platform as it exits stealth mode.

"Digital identity is an important investment theme for us and the key to unlocking the next leg of growth for the digital economy. The kind of frictionless authentication the founders have delivered is pretty close to magic. When a team, an idea and a solution come together at the same time – that’s what being a VC is all about"

Manchester-based sustainable marketplace Veopolis raises £300k from Solid Bond Venture Builder and Innovate UK.

"We’re delighted to support Veo in securing this funding. The RAIA project is focussed on helping innovative North businesses secure finance for growth by attracting co-investment from Angels. Manchester and the wider North are a hotbed of innovation, and I’m delighted we’ve been able to help another disruptive business grow their offer and reach new markets."
